Since the Office of Educational Technology issued A Call to Action for Closing the Digital Access, Design, and Use Divides in January 2024, many districts have been exploring innovative approaches to effectively integrate educational technology using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. The 2024 National Educational Technology Plan (NETP) highlights several key topics to enhance technology integration in education. These include:

• Empowering Educators: It emphasizes the importance of training educators to effectively use technology to create dynamic, inclusive, and personalized learning experiences.
• Enhancing Learning Environments: The plan advocates for the creation of flexible, learner-centered environments that leverage technology to improve accessibility and engagement.
• Promoting Digital Citizenship: It underscores the need to teach students about digital health, safety, and responsible online behavior.
• Supporting Professional Development: The NETP calls for ongoing professional development to help educators design and implement technology-enhanced learning experiences.
